Quote Of The Day
'Life is like a ten speed bicycle. Most of us have gears we never use'
~ Charles M.
Schulz
Here, the writer is
teaching us a very simple but effective lesson. He tells us that our life is
like a bicycle with ten gears. We must not just use one of them throughout our
life. Instead, we should make use of all the gears. We might not know what we
are capable in doing. Thus, through the course of time, we should learn to
utilize all the gears that life has.

न देवो वर्तते काष्ठे न पाषाणे न मृण्मये ।
भावे हि विद्यते देवः तस्माद् भावो हि कारणम् ।।
Explanation
The existence of God is felt by us, but it is not limited to wood, rock or soil. God actually resides in our feelings of oneness and our feelings are the reason for the existence of God.

INDUSTRY 5.0
Industry
5.0 is the future and already an emerging trend: the interaction and
collaboration between man and machine. It’s about robots helping humans work
better and faster by leveraging advanced technologies like the Internet of
Things (IoT) and big data. It adds a personal human touch to the Industry 4.0
pillars of automation and efficiency.
Industry 5.0’s focus is on creating value beyond financial results. It seeks to improve the quality of life, not only of people involved in industrial processes but of the society as a whole.
With
people at the center of processes, Industry 5.0 focuses on three increasingly
important aspects: quality of life, inclusion, and sustainability.
1.Industry
5.0 aims to make workers’ lives safer and more comfortable, while ensuring
access to technologies that enable automation and increase productivity.
2.Industry
5.0’s human approach to technology emphasizes the contributions of the
individual while creating a more inclusive space in the labor market, as well
as in the access of products and services.
3.Industry
5.0 helps people understand that technology is an essential tool for developing
and engaging in sustainable practices by caring for the environment, protecting
the world’s ecosystems, and making the best use of available resources for
current and future generations.
Industry 5.0 will make the factory a place where creative people can come and work, to create a more personalized and human experience for workers and their customers.
The Fifth
Industrial Revolution has the potential to initiate a new socio-economic era
that closes the gaps between the “top” and the “bottom,” creating infinite
opportunities for humanity, and for a better planet.

PHILATELY - KING OF HOBBIES
Philately is referred to as the
king of hobbies. 'PHILATELY' is not a word that is commonly used today.
Philately means collecting postage stamps and a person who collects stamps is
called a ' Philatelist '. Earlier this hobby had a tight grip over the taste of
the youth. Earlier there used to be at least one Philatelist in every
household. This is so because there were no means to communicate over a
long distance except sending letters and people used to collect the stamps used
for postage by removing them from the letters or envelopes received. The
governments of different countries regularly issue various postage stamps and
it was the passion of philatelists to collect every stamp they can.
But now, the hobby is fading away in this virtual world. I have met such
philatelists who eagerly tell how they got hold of a particular postage stamp
or how they had lost a great chance to collect a valued one. Nevertheless,
philately is still considered as the 'KING OF HOBBIES' as while collecting
stamps one gets to know about variously amazing things you might have imagined.
It gives you an insight about history. This is not the theoretical 'HISTORY'
that we are bombarded with, but it is the practical usage of the theory which
is way more fun than one thinks.
So, what are you waiting for! Visit a post office (of course when it is
safe to), just GOOGLE 'stamps', checkout if anyone from your friends or
relatives is a philatelist. Ask them to show you their stamp collection AND
most importantly START looking for letters having postage stamps on them and
collect the stamps as many as you can. I am sure it will interest you and
simultaneously help the 'KING OF HOBBIES ' thrive. Further if you become a
philatelist, I guarantee you that there is a whole wide world of philately
awaiting to be explored.

OBESITY
– A GROWING CONCERN
Obesity or excess body weight is becoming a huge
problem in people of all ages across the world. If a person’s BMI (Body Mass
Index) is between 25-30, it falls within the overweight range and if BMI is 30
or higher it falls within the obesity range. Obesity is a major concern in
India, especially in urban areas. Lifestyle of the urban population has changed
a lot and is affecting their health. Just to save time and effort, people grab
foodstuffs which are frozen or just simply order from restaurants. There is a
growing tendency to eat outside, especially on weekends. But is it
healthy?
The obesity percentage world over is 13% and in India it is about 5%. Currently
India is facing the double burden of malnutrition and obesity. India is number
1 in underweight population (in numbers) yet it has jumped to 3rd rank
with 20 million obese women and 5th position with 9.8 million
obese men. People who have obesity are at increased risk for many serious
diseases and health conditions which include high BP, type 2 diabetes,
gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis (a breakdown of cartilage and bone within a
joint), cancer, mental illness, clinical depression, anxiety etc. compared to
those with a normal or healthy weight. Obesity increases the risk of stroke
(happens when blood supply to the brain is cut off which can damage brain
tissue resulting in disabilities).
Solutions:
- Ensure
nutritious food intake and avoid junk food.
- While
planning new towns and cities, all urban areas should have open spaces for
sports activities.
- Schools
should have a ground and encourage students to stay fit and even pursue
careers in sports.
- Awareness
about the ill-effects of obesity should be created through mass media.
- Gym
facilities should be provided by MNCs and mid-sized companies for their
employees.
- Incentives
may be given by companies to encourage fitness among their workforce.
We can conclude that obesity is a growing concern
and needs to be taken seriously. It has to be tackled at individual and society
level.
So stay healthy, exercise daily and stay fit!

PRITHVI SHAW, SHIKAR DHAWAN AND KAGISO RABADA POWER DELHI TO THE TOP OF THE TABLE
Winning the toss, Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant decided to field
first, against the Punjab Kings, at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Mayank Agarwal
replaced KL Rahul as the Punjab skipper, as KL was out due to medical issues. Delhi
started their bowling well including a maiden over from Ishant Sharma, and kept
things tight, and got the wicket of Prabhsimran Singh. Chris Gayle looked in fine
touch but departed soon. Punjab kept losing wickets from one end but Mayank was
standing stiff on the other end. Mayank finished the game well for Punjab scoring
99 not out, as a result Punjab reached a decent total of 166. Mayank smashed 8
boundaries and 4 maximums in his innings. Coming out to bat, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar
Dhawan got Delhi a good start and almost ensured the win for Delhi. Later Steve
Smith and Rishabh Pant played small cameos of 24 and 14 respectively. Shimron
Hetmyer sealed the game for Delhi by hitting 2 maximums and a boundary while Shikhar
Dhawan remained not out 69 and also received the orange cap. A not decent bowling
performance from Punjab kept them always away from the game. Young Harpreet
Brar again bowled exceptionally good, by giving just 19 runs in his 3 overs and
took a wicket. Mayank Agarwal was named player of the match for his magnificent
99 not out.

BUTLER’S CENTURY, MUSTAFIZUR’S BOWLING PUMPS RAJASTHAN, AS SUNRISERS CONTINUE LOSING STREAK
After sacking David Warner from captaincy, SRH made a big decision
to leave him out of the playing XI too. SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first,
at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal fell early to
Rashid Khan after a brisk start to Rajasthan's inning. Jos Buttler then joined
forces with skipper Samson. Their partnership was worth more than 100. Just
when they started to change the gears, Sanju Samson got out missing his half
century by just 2 runs. Buttler at the
other end continued to do what he is best at. He soon completed his magnificent
century and some late flourish by Miller and Parag helped RR post a mammoth 220.
SunRisers Hyderabad started their inning all guns blazing in the powerplay.
Openers Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow were dismissed in quick succession. Thereafter,
they were never really in the chase as required rate was climbing rapidly and
their middle order was left with too much to do. Not to forget Rajasthan
Royals' amazing commitment for fielding. In the end, RR won comfortably by 55 runs.
Jos Buttler was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 124 off just 64 balls.

BARCA KEEP TITLE HOPES ALIVE IN FIVE GOAL THRILLER ON THE ROAD
AGAINST VALENCIA, ARSENAL WIN AND GARETH BALE NETS HAT TRICK IN SPURS WIN
Barcelona remains
alive in the race for the La Liga title thanks to a thrilling 3-2 victory away
to Valencia at the Mestalla, with a brace from Lionel Messi securing the three
points in what was a brilliant game of football. No one was able to break the
deadlock in the first half. However, Gabriel Paulista was able to head the ball
home for Valencia. Barca came from behind with a goal converted from a missed
penalty from Messi. Just 12 minutes after, Antoine Griezmann put Barcelona in
the lead after which Messi’s brilliant free kick sealed the deal. The
“Blaugrana” are now just two points behind La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid and
at par with Real with four games to go. Earlier in matchday 34, Real had a walk
in the park against Osasuna while leaders Atletico won 3 points against Elche.
Barcelona and Atletico will face off next week at the Camp Nou, which might
prove to be of great importance in the title race.
Over in England, Arsenal had an easy win against struggling Newcastle while the Spurs cruised past relegation bound Sheffield United putting four past them with a hat trick from Bale. He has admitted, he is enjoying football at Tottenham with the attacking style adopted by Spur’s interim manager Ryan Mason.
