Quote Of The Day
~Charles R. Swindoll
If any unpleasant incident comes our way, it's all up to us, how much time we grieve about it and in how much time we move on. A person who takes less time to not cry about it and move on makes him stronger. Life has much more nicer things to offer us. So we must never hold on to such things and try to heal as fast as we can
Subhashita
कौर्मं संकोचमास्थाय प्रहारानपि मर्षयेत् |
प्राप्ते काले च मतिमानुत्तिष्ठेत् कृष्णसर्पवत् ||
Explanation
During tough times one must have the courage of receiving blows by becoming tough as a turtle's back but one must also be able to retaliate like a cobra raising its hood at the right time

BY THE SEA....
The blue sparkling waters,
Attracted my eyes as I walked by the sea..
The surrounding was pleasant,
A serene form of beauty to see..
The waves arrive at the shore,
As if friends are going hand in hand..
It feels they are embracing me,
And the force takes me along with the sand..
Everyone feels to be strong,
As a mighty ocean..
But it needs hard work,
Blended with patience and devotion..
The sunset at the shore ends,
With a dream to be chased by me..
There is a lot more to learn from..
A walk by the sea..

Cyclist’s Diary
“Burn Fats, Not Fuel” such quotes have become buzz words in today’s era. But does cycling have to do only with fitness and saving fuel? At least not for me. For me, cycling gets the edge beyond just saving fuel or staying healthy. Firstly, using the cycle for commuting gave me a sense of independence. Also, while commuting on a cycle, I get some time to be with myself. I ponder over my thoughts, think of my day and answer my own questions. Sometimes I go lingering down my memory. Rather it is the same experience as of diary writing. Somehow I am able to ‘by heart’ poems or subhashitas while cycling. Of all the benefits, I get immense satisfaction by cycling. Though it be the heavy paddling up the slope or experiencing the wind stroke your face while cycling down the gradient, even while treading along the flat roads, cycling in traffic or moving along a deserted road- every experience is new, every experience is congenial. Cycling has become a part of my life, it’s like the staff of my life and I hope it remains so…….

INDIA’S SQUAD FOR SRI LANKA TOUR ANNOUNCED:
YOUNG GUNS EARN MAIDEN- CALL UPS WHILE SOME EARN
THEIR SPOT BACK.
The news for which many uncapped players were eagerly waiting for
has finally arrived. Yesterday afternoon, BCCI announced a 20-man squad for
India’s white-ball tour of Sri Lanka. The tour which is set to kick off from
the 13th of July will consist of 3 T20Is and as many ODIs. So, there
is a lot new in this setup and ton of things to explain and interpret. This
series is going to be the audition of the reserve players for T20I world Cup.
It is briefly like “You have been given 6 matches, perform at your full
potential”, though it is highly implausible that any of the young guns would
play all the 6 matches. The obvious
choice for leading the side was Shikhar Dhawan, he would have received tough
competition only if Shreyas Iyer was fit. Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he is fit has
been assigned to be Shikhar’s deputy. Rahul Dravid, who has been constantly
moulding India’s young talent-the results of which were seen in India’s
historic triumph down under, will coach this side.
Openers
All those young openers who have performed well in the IPL have
been awarded. Prithvi Shaw after a great Vijay Hazare and a fairly decent IPL
has made his comeback in the team. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devdutt Padikkal have
earned their maiden- call ups. Among these who will open with Shikhar Dhawan is
a tough question to be answered. Ishan Kishan has also performed well as an
opener, but his batting position is still a mystery.
Middle- Order
The middle order looks quite settled with the youngsters and
veterans both in the mix. The experienced Manish Pandey would look to increase
his stocks in the Indian team. Suryakumar Yadav would like to perform well and
fix the berth for the T20I world cup. Keeper Batsman Sanju Samson and Nitish
Rana would see this as an excellent opportunity to prove their talent. India’s
prime white ball asset Hardik Pandya, would look to get back in form after a
brief bad patch with Mumbai Indians.
The Spinners
The selectors have picked the spinners as if they were on sale,
because in the white ball format spin is the only department where India has to
constantly make changes. Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, India’s best
white-ball spin combination till 2019, would like to make a stunning comeback
after poor performances in recent past. Apart from these Rahul Chahar looks to
be a starter for the series, due to his great performance in the England series
as well as in the IPL. India have Picked both Krunal Pandya and Krishnappa
Gowtham, as spin bowling- all-rounders. Varun Chakravarthy would finally look
to make his debut after missing two back-to-back series due to fitness issues.
The Pace department
Leading the pace – department would be Bhuvneshwar Kumar, India’s
star bowler till he was side lined a bit by his injuries. Along with him is
Deepak Chahar and and Navdeep Saini, who both are looking to make an impact to
fix a berth for the T20I WC. Chetan Sakariya, the left armer who impressed
everyone with his variations has also booked a spot in the team.
It would be interesting to see who performs the best and makes up
the team for the T20I world cup.

UEFA EURO 2020: ITALY THRASH TURKEY 3-0 IN CURTAIN RAISER
The Euros have officially
begun. Even if it means Euro 2020 kicking off in 2021. The wait has been rather
long, as last year’s showpiece event was postponed due to the ravaging corona
virus across Europe.
16000 fans experienced
the spectacle as Turkey kicked off the championship at the Stadio Olimpico in
Rome. The biggest crowd to gather in Italy for a year and a half witnessed the contenders,
the Azzurri take on a Turkey side aiming to spring a surprise in the season
opener.
The first half saw both teams failing to break the deadlock. It was Italy who played with intent and menace and were the ones most likely to score the tournament’s first. Ciro Immobile had a handful of chances but the chances were rather indecisive. The first clear chance fell to Insigne in the 17’ as he attempted to slot the ball into the far corner from the left final third. Immobile & Chiellini had a go with two headers but the first went wide while the latter was blocked by the Turkish goalkeeper Cakir. Turkey tried to pull of counter attacks from their own but it wasn’t enough. Overall, in the first half, Italy were left frustrated by a fantastic Turkey defence led by Caglar Soyuncu.
But this same defence cracked under Italy’s persistence as Italy born Turkish center-back Merih Demiral deflected the ball into the back of his own net in an attempt to clear off a low cross from Beradi. The deadlock was broken and it all started falling apart for the Turks. It was then all Italy as Immobile doubled their advantage. It was a poacher’s goal, as Spinazzola’s shot was parried by the goalkeeper for Immobile to score from six yards. Insigne sealed the deal for the Italians in the 79’ as he produced a silky curling finish into the far post.
Italy have kickstarted
their campaign with a convincing victory against Turkey. After the dark days of
Italy’s 2018 world cup qualifying campaign, Roberto Mancini’s side have proven
themselves as contenders for the Euro crown. This turnaround has been extremely
impressive and commendable from Italy with Roberto Mancini at the reigns. Italy
next face Switzerland Wednesday night where a win can give them breathing room at
the top of Group A.
